How Zipline came to be

Hi, my name is Melissa and I’m the co-founder of Zipline. I spent the last 10 years at one of the largest specialty retailers in North America focused on getting stores to execute to brand standards. It was a struggle. After hundreds of conversations with store managers, district leaders, HQ employees and peers across the industry, I realized that the breakdown in store execution is a result of ineffective communication.

Email, portal sites and old technologies are slow, archaic and hard to use. They don’t align field leaders or engage Associates in an effective way. It doesn’t need to be so hard. Technology can now automate manual processes, personalize content to individual users, remind teams of the work that needs to be done and provide easy reporting into execution. Everything can be done in a super streamlined, easy and engaging way.

Zipline is the answer to how to get better store execution, which ultimately leads to profitable sales. It’s the store communication solution that I always wanted to exist, and is the result of my years in retail.
